Over the past two years our roadshows have covered such topics as Simplifying The Network, Enabling the Video Revolution, and Enabling the IP Services Revolution. This year we are pleased to announce that our educational seminar series will be focused on: Advanced Services–From Concept to Reality.

The concept of integrating communications and entertainment is a worthy goal for most telcos, but the path to achievement is often unclear. Calix will demonstrate a roadmap for making this goal a reality, starting with the deployment of advanced services, such as switched video and voice over IP (VoIP), and expanding into an array of incremental services.

Switched Video Services
Real world insights gleaned from dozens of video deployments have allowed Calix to transform the deployment of switched video services from an experiment into a science. During this session, Calix will share in-depth studies of operator deployment experiences, as well as best practices in marketing, support, and operations, from some of the most successful video-over-copper deployments in the US.

Voice over IP
VoIP offers a flexible and efficient service model. Although non-facilities based VoIP providers are gaining subscribers and mindshare, they still face challenges with E9-1-1, CALEA, security, and QoS. Attendees will learn how facilities-based carriers are uniquely positioned to solve VoIP challenges, offer exciting new presence-based services, leverage the wiring plant to retain customers, and grow revenues.

Advanced Services Demonstration
At each Simplified Services Tour location, Calix–together with select CalixCompatible Partners–will conduct an advanced services demonstration that showcases technologies such as ADSL2+, FTTP, Video-on-Demand, HDTV, VoIP, etc.
